2b. Establishing a Culture for Learning

 

In a classroom of 90, it can be difficult to establish and maintain strong culture/work ethic 100% of the time, but Chorale continues to grow throughout the year.  Through encouragement and post-concert reflection, students are beginning to see they can indeed work at a high level and therein achieve the highest results.  

 

You'll see in the picture below, even if I'm working with an individual, sections of students will often follow along with a pencil, trying to pinpoint where they can improve and what went wrong.  Students feel safe  asking peers questions about a concept they may not understand.
